The Jack Crevalle or better known as Jiguagua is a fish that is bluish green to greenish gold on its upper part with a silvery or yellowish belly. It has a prominent black spot on the gill cover and at the base of each pectoral fin. The dorsal fin and anal fin are almost identical in size, which is a distinctive feature of the species. It has a deep body and a steep forehead on the head.
